The engine was based on Transport Tycoon, an older game which also has an equivalent open-source project, OpenTTD. RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 was originally written by Chris Sawyer in x86 assembly and is the sequel to RollerCoaster Tycoon. Scenarios require the player to complete a certain objective in a set time limit whilst sandbox allows the player to build a more flexible park with optionally no restrictions or finance. OpenRCT2 allows for both scenario and sandbox play. The player must try to make a profit and maintain a good park reputation whilst keeping the guests happy. The gameplay revolves around building and maintaining an amusement park containing attractions, shops and facilities. OpenRCT2 is an open-source re-implementation of RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 (RCT2). | Language | Non Developer | Developer | Localisation ||-|-|-|-|| English | | | || Nederlands | | | | If you want to help translate the game to your language, please stop by the Localisation channel.
